Gentle Rain's diverse musical ensembles accompany a wide range of special events.

Dancing/ Celebrations/ Receptions

Rich Jones Dance Band
The Dance Band varies in size from a 3 piece combo to a 10 piece big band with lead singers and back-up vocals. (It can be tailored to suit your needs.) The Dance Band Rocks & Rolls with 1950’s & 60’s hits and swings with 40’s favorites. Jazz standards, swing, Latin, funk, r&b, and beach music are all on the band stand!
The Chamber Orchestra
For the masked ball or simply holding court, the Chamber Orchestra sways with Strauss Waltzes, Mozart Minuets: gracious strains of long ago. The Chamber Orchestra varies in size to suit the event. The instrumental line-up includes piano, woodwinds, strings, harp and brass.

Dixieland Delight
Whether strolling or stationary, Dixieland Delight sets toes tapping and spirits soaring! Our 3 to 6 piece ensemble plays those Dixie favorites that elevate the mood wherever a crowd gathers: July 4th Parties, family barbecue, Trade Shows, etc. Pack up all your cares and woes and call Dixieland Delight, because when you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you!

The Gentle Rain Duo
Our Harp and Woodwind Duo creates a soothing atmosphere conducive to quiet conversation. Our repertoire includes classics from Bach to Boling and popular music ranging from Early Renaissance, Celtic and American Folk songs to Contemporary popular ballads.

Our Arrangements are original, and inspiring. Improvisation and liberal use of various woodwind instruments combined with unique harp accompaniment give a fresh approach to familiar material.

Gentle Rain Trio
We add percussion with windchimes and bells to the harp and woodwind duo.

Rich Jones Jazz Project
Led by woodwind specialist Rich Jones the Jazz Project energizes a room with the sophisticated sound of contemporary & classic jazz: swing, standards, bossas and blues.

The music of Nat King Cole, Chick Corea, Gershwin, Cole Porter, Frank Sinatra and others infuses an event with listening and dancing pleasure.

The Project can vary in size from the core duo of woodwinds & keyboard to a five piece combo, depending on clients needs.

The Classic Consort
Bach, Haydn, Pachelbel, Mozart: the Music of the Masters enhances a special event with timeless elegance. Our Classic Consort of woodwinds and strings brings color, clarity and love of the classics to each performance.

Soloist
When less is more for your event, our instrumentalists are happy to perform solo.
